"Voicing Pierrot" by Jane Manning.
"Voicing Pierrot" is the product of three years' research as a Creative Arts Fellow of the Arts and Humanities Research Council of the United Kingdom, based at Kingston University. Jane Manning has performed Schoenberg's "Pierrot Lunaire" over 100 times since 1965, with conductors such as Boulez, Mehta and Rattle, and recorded it three times. Her interpretation is regarded as definitive and she continues to give lectures and masterclasses on the topic.
